2019 UPDATES: Many, many thanks to everyone who donated to Punxsutawney area organization during this year's Week of Giving. We at Punxsutawney Memorial Library appreciate the contributions made from folks near and far. This year, our totals included:

The Week of Giving (March 18-22) is a fundraising event hosted by Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation and Bridge Builders Community Foundations. This year, community members can donate to 20+ Punxsutawney area nonprofits (over 100 total participating organizations throughout the Northwest PA region). Each tax-deductible donation is then partially matched by corporate sponsors, instantly stretching the value of each contribution beyond 100%.
Investing in Punxsutawney Memorial Library is investing in Punxsutawney and our surrounding communities. Join us during the 3rd annual Week of Giving to raise funds for literacy programs and initiatives at www.bbcfgives.org.
In 2018, Punxsutawney Memorial Library received ~14.5% in additional funds thanks to the the partial match of stretch pool funds:
Donors Contributions: $1,615 | Stretch Pool: $236
Total Received: $1,851
UPDATE: There will be Week of Giving contests that allow participating organizations a chance to earn even more funds! (For these contests, Punxsutawney Memorial Library is classified as a small organization.) These contests run during the times listed below, and a $100 prize is awarded for each day to the small organization with the highest number of individual, unique donors.
Tuesday, March 19: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Wednesday, March 20: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Thursday, March 21: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Examples of unique donors: Two donors with the same name will be counted individually if they have different address. A husband and wife who life at the same address and use the same credit card will be counted individually because they have different first names.
To donate online: Minimum donation: $25 (per organization). Online donations qualify toward matching funds and potential prizes for organizations.
- Visit www.bbcfgives.org between Monday, March 18 (8 a.m.) - Friday, March 22 (5 p.m.).
- Select Punxsutawney Memorial Library. You can donate to multiple participating nonprofits and pay at one time.
- Check out to pay using a major credit card.

* For assistance with making an online donation to any participating organization, stop by the library during operating hours. Volunteers from participating organizations will be on hand to help you out!
